After a very windy first day with the strong Bora, the second day of the Sailing Point Easter Regatta brought a beautiful change to Portorož. Nearly 500 young sailors were greeted by clear blue skies and warm spring weather that made for a perfect day of competition.

By noon, a steady sea breeze filled the bay and allowed the race committee to start the first races at 12:10. It was an incredible sight to see five different fleets of sails spread across the blue water. Today was less about battling heavy gusts and more about using smart tactics to navigate the course. The massive group was divided into four junior fleets named Yellow, Blue, Red, and Green, along with a dedicated fleet for the youngest cadet sailors.

The afternoon brought one small challenge when the wind suddenly died down in the middle of the bay. The race committee decided to pause the action for about 20 minutes to wait for the breeze to stabilize. This patience paid off perfectly because the wind soon returned, allowing every fleet to finish their scheduled races. By the time the sun began to set, the sailors had successfully added three more races to their scores, bringing the total for the event so far to six.

Once the boats were back on land, the learning continued with special educational workshops. Experts from the YouSea Institute and the Morigenos Society informed the children about the importance of marine conservation and the biodiversity of the Northern Adriatic, while sharing fascinating facts about the dolphins that live in Slovenian waters. It was a wonderful way for the young athletes to connect with the nature and wildlife they share the sea with.
